The best and most authentic way of discovering “True Vietnam” is to meet villagers, visit their homes, and to share a genuine moment with them by asking about their work and their occupation as artisans.
Leave your hotel in the morning, our guide will take you to some famous traditional artisan villages around Hanoi. You will visit three artisan villages as well as one of the oldest pagodas in the country: the Dau Pagoda.
This rich and diverse day trip will open the door into Vietnam’s soul through the discovery of ancestral know-how in its crafts, which are anchored deeply in Vietnam’s culture and traditions. The tour will start with the lacquer village (Ha Thai), then it will be complemented quite appropriately by a village that produces egg shells and mother-of-pearl (Chuyen My). You will end the day with a visit to another village (Luu Thuong) in which rattan (a species of palm) handicrafts are made.
